Partner, Raise The Caliber™
For more than 20 years, accomplished furniture designer Joseph Jeup has expressed his passion for innovative high-end residential and hospitality design. Joseph’s zeal for both form and function transforms in to luxury furniture that can be experienced at a highly emotional level in everyday life.
“Create a lifestyle” is what Joseph would say if asked what he does for a living. It’s that personal, intimate approach to designing and constructing luxury residential and hospitality furniture that has attracted numerous Hollywood celebrities, sports stars and internationally acclaimed designers to work with Joseph and Joseph Jeup, Inc.
Reflecting on their personal experience with Jeup, a satisfied power couple (one an attorney and the other a professor) from Chicago noted, “The cocktail table that Joseph designed is a luxurious blend of tradition with an artistic flair. It works as a functional piece of art, adding warmth and character to the room.”
In addition to being luxurious, Jeup’s designs have been called ‘durable’. Jeup, who designs each product, stresses that the product needs to be functional and durable. “Not just art furniture,” Jeup has been quoted saying. Jeup’s designs have been called ‘urban chic’ with fresh, clean lines and a level of detail that showcases the quality products being used. A sentiment that Jeup’s clients echo: “I like the masculine quality and clean lines of the Donghia Jenison Coffee Table,” noted one savvy entrepreneur from Louisville.
Joseph has been at the helm of Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Joseph Jeup, Inc. since 1997, when he purchased the assets of his former employer, Designer’s Workshop, a sister company of John Widdicomb, Inc.

Additionally, Jeup has added the private label Legacy Collection, offered by luxury furniture company Donghia.
“I loved the Jeup collection that was made for Donghia the moment I saw it,” declares an interior designer from Chicago.. “I bought several pieces, both for clients and for my own home, and have also been working with him on custom designed pieces. They are so versatile and can be used in multiple styles of residences-transitional as well as contemporary. Joe’s excitement for his designs make working with him a pleasure.”
To accommodate demand, Joseph Jeup, Inc. relocated to a 50,000 square-foot facility in Grand Rapids in late 2008. This new facility is nearly twice the size of the previous location in neighboring Jenison, Michigan.
A native of Michigan, Joseph attended Lawrence Technological University in Detroit after apprenticing under Italian master furniture craftsmen. Joseph finished his studies at the Kendall College of Art & Design in Grand Rapids, MI. Jeup credits his early discovery of wood-working and design for his successes today.
